University of Manchester Humanitarian Scholarships 2026

The University of Manchester Humanitarian Scholarships 2026 have been officially launched by the University of Manchester. This is a mission-driven program for students whose education has been interrupted by war, conflict, or being forced to move. This scholarship, which was created in 2022, gives students who are in immediate danger a real second chance by giving them a way to finish their education abroad.
Unlike partial scholarships, this program will pay for up to six undergraduate students’ entire education starting in September 2026. This will help with the main problems that displaced students face, such as paying for fees, living costs, and visas.
What the Scholarship Covers?
Selected students will receive comprehensive funding that includes:
- Full tuition fees for the chosen undergraduate course
- Living expenses to cover food, accommodation, and daily costs
- Visa costs, ensuring legal entry into the UK
This support ensures that students can focus on their studies without worrying about financial or logistical hurdles.
Will I receive support with visa applications?
Yes, the scholarship covers visa costs, and the University provides guidance to ensure displaced students can legally enter the UK and begin their studies without unnecessary bureaucratic delays.
Benefits of University of Manchester Humanitarian Scholarships:
- Full Financial Support: This type of help pays for all of a student’s costs, including school, living expenses, and visa fees. This way, the student can focus on studying without having to worry about money issues.
- Second Chance for Education: Gives students whose schooling was stopped by war or migration a rare chance to start over at a world-class university.
- Comprehensive Humanitarian Approach: This method is designed to help students who have been forced to move and deals with real-life issues like safety, moving, and the costs of surviving while learning abroad.
- Global Academic Recognition: Gives students access to a well-known UK university and a degree that is recognized around the world, which can lead to job possibilities in many countries.
- Personalized Support for Displaced Students: Lowers the normal problems that come up when people want to study abroad, like getting into the country legally, making ends meet, and getting used to a new school system, making the transition easier.
- Empowerment Through Education: This program helps students turn their “I can’t”s into real academic and personal successes by inspiring them to go after their goals, rebuild their lives, and make a difference in their communities.
Is work allowed while studying on this scholarship?
Yes, students can work part-time under UK student visa regulations, but the scholarship funding is designed to cover tuition and living costs fully, so employment is optional and not required to meet daily expenses.
